Full Time Position, Dubai
Seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and diversely skilled Foundation Assistant to provide gallery support and administrative assistance. This person will be responsible for reception at front desk, general administrative duties and projects related to client relations, PR, social media marketing, and event planning. This candidate should be able to compose professional emails, feel comfortable in a fast paced environment, and work as a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to):
-Assist with daily gallery operations, including answering telephones, greeting guests and clients with friendly and professional demeanor, directing inquiries and deliveries and managing reception area.
Presenting Art to clients
-Maintain subscriptions, press and mailing lists; foundation website and database
-Liaise with vendors and colleagues to coordinate exhibition openings and special events
-Prepare materials for clients, openings, and art fairs as requested
-Manage Inventory of artworks
-Coordinate framing & shipping of works
-Must be highly organized, detail oriented, proactive and able to efficiently manage multiple tasks
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Extensive PC literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
-Some gallery or similar admin experience required
-Knowledge of art database software preferred
-Interest in and knowledge of contemporary art
-Applicant with professional photography skills will be an added advantage to us
-Must be native English speaker
-BA or BSc a minimum
Role includes work on Saturdays, or as per the needs of the opening art schedule.
Office based in Alserkal Avenue.
